City Color Cosmetics Review

If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know that I received some products to review from City Color Cosmetics. If you are not familiar with the brand, then let me tell you that they offer super affordable beauty products.

These are the products that I received

Shadow Pencils: The first thing I thought of when I saw these pencils were of the NYX Jumbo Pencils. The pack contains five and I love that they're very pigmented. I used them as a base for glitter and regular shadows, but unfortunately I noticed too much creasing within the first hour of wear without a primer. With a primer I noticed less creasing.

$5.99

Baked Blush: Unfortunately, this didn't work for me as a blush because it is too light. But it works great as a highlighter since it gives a beautiful glow. If you have light skin I'm sure this will work great for you.

$2.99

Shadow Primer: I think it's a good primer and the consistency reminds me a lot of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. In order to compare those two, I wore them the same day (right UD and left CCC) and I honestly couldn't tell any difference. However, keep in mind that I don't have oily lids. This is definitely a great primer especially for the price!

$2.99

Lengthening Mascara: It's a very dry formula, but the brush really helped separate my lashes and apply length when using other mascaras as well. The only problem that I have with this is that the wand is made out of plastic and if you're not careful you can easily poke your eye.

$1.99

Eyeshadow Palette: I was very excited when I saw this palette because the packaging reminded me a lot of the Sleek palettes. The shadows are pigmented but some can be powdery. I love the color selection because they're right up my alley and because they are perfect colors for fall. Overall, the wear was great--just make sure to use tapping motion when applying.

$6.99

Eyeshadow Quad: Again, these are pigmented, but can the white shadow has lots of fallout. The wear of these was average and I noticed very minimal creasing at the end of the day.

$3.99

Duo Lip Color: This a a lipstick on one end and a lipgloss on the other. I love the color that they sent me because it is a beautiful neutral pinky color. The lipstick didn't bleed and the lipgloss isn't sticky at all. (They smell amazing too!)

$2.99

Lipstick: This is a matte lipstick and I am in love with it! Matte lipsticks can be very drying on the lips, but this is an exception. Although it's matte I feel that my lips are being hydrated. It must be the Vitamin E. I LOVE this lipstick!!

$1.99

Sun Light Blush Palette: This is a trio of two blushes and a bronzer. The shade that I received is Pink-tan and feel that it was a bit too light for me. However, they are perfect for a subtle look on people with light complexions.

$2.99

Overall, I like the products and I would definitely recommend them if you are on a budget or new to makeup. If you are interested in the products you can find them purchase them at www.citycolorbeauty.com
